I tried using the Ripple Relax during finals week. Honestly, I’m sure it goes without saying that I could use as much stress relief help as I could get. After really loving the VitaBar CHILL, I was curious to see how this would compare since it also has chamomile. Additionally, I was intrigued by the jasmine as that’s something I hadn’t seen before.
Design-wise, the Ripple Relax has a similar shape to the VitaBar. However, these seem to have about half as many ingredients. Just chamomile, jasmine, and lemon balm. Simple formula but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes less is more when it comes to stress relief.
Flavor-wise, I enjoyed the Ripple Relax. While I didn’t get the jasmine super strongly, the slight lemon zest was nice. Furthermore, the vapor is smooth and the taste is pleasant throughout the day. Although it didn’t relax me any more than the VitaBar has in the past, it was still enjoyable to use.
The chamomile comes through nicely in the Ripple Relax. Not overpowering. Just calming enough to take the edge off during stressful study sessions. Meanwhile, the lemon balm adds a subtle citrus note that keeps it from being too floral. Ultimately, I could see this working well for anyone dealing with daily stress or anxiety.
Personally, I think the lavender-flavored Ripple Relax could have a greater effect on me. After all, I like using lavender essential oil to relax. Nevertheless, this jasmine version is still solid for what it is. Basically, it comes down to personal preference on flavors.
Overall, the Ripple Co definitely tries to appeal to the youth with their look and overall vibe. Modern packaging. Clean aesthetic. Interestingly, each Ripple Relax device is advertised to have 400 uses. But if you like to inhale for longer than a second like I do, it ends up coming out to far less. Realistically, maybe 250-300 puffs.
On the positive side, the Ripple Relax is recyclable which I appreciate. In fact, they have a program that lets you send back used devices. That’s a nice eco-conscious touch that sets them apart from other brands. Overall, it’s a decent option if you want something simple for stress relief.
